Reclaimed Water

Water treatment plants currently dump reclaimed water into the Bay. Not everyone is happy with this situation. The Federal Government is not happy.

Both Palo Alto and Redwood City have prepared Master Plans for distribution of Reclaimed waters to areas which could make use of them. Total cost for BOTH systems(in an integrated plan) would be less than $150 million. Are there problems? Of course! But they pale compared to the benefits.
